I built a cupboard! part one

I've been planning this cupboard for Billy in my head for a while now... it's a cupboard for the back of the van, alongside the bed, where the spare wheel currently lives (we'll worry about what to do with the wheel later!). I want it to look a bit like this one. I'm not sure of the cupboards/drawers/compartments layout yet - I'm starting by making a frame, and I'm going to skin it later. Here's the frame - it looks wicked!!

Starting to plan my trip

I've planning a big trip, probably in August. I'm thinking I might have 3 weeks. I want to take photos of Billy in front of loads of landmarks, so Paris, Pisa, and Rome are essential. The rest I've thrown together from looking at routes and reading the bare bones of some guide books. I'm going to spend the next six months talking to people about where they've been and what I should see, and that's going to make this plan change I expect. But here it is for now -

VW interior plans

I was doing my periodic peruse of ebay for the random VW items that turn up from time to time, and I came across a guy selling copies of 70s conversion plans for van interiors. I bought a couple, cause they were only £2 each and I was intrigued. They make fun and geeky reading, and the devony-style one is particularly useful.

I did wonder about copyright though - is this guy right for making money from their sale? Almost certainly not, since he told me he didn't write them and just found them one day and scanned them and cleaned them up a bit to redistribute. Indeed, one of them he said he just found on a CD. So I'm not going to make a big song and dance about it, but I am going to put them on this blog for anyone who wants them to download.

I suspect nobody will find them, but perhaps if they google VW, camper, conversion, plans, templates, or something they might show up. Do enjoy -
